Scott Contractors has grown over the years to expand our service area, our workforce and our fleet of equipment..

Our service area has grown from the Mid-South to the Southeastern United States. We are licensed and bonded in three states: Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas with locations in Memphis, Tennessee and Southaven, Mississippi. In the past 15 years, our workforce has doubled to over 100 employees which are all specialists in their own areas of expertise.

With the assistance of over one hundred pieces of high quality equipment such as Caterpillar and Freightliner you can be assured of a project that is not only efficient but also superior. Our fleet of heavy equipment consists of excavators, dozers, compactors, front end loaders, mixers, motor graders, tractors and pans, rubber tire backhoes, dump trucks, and lowboy trucks.

Your Projects, Our Priority

Scott Contractors has worked on several high profile projects throughout the Mid-South. Recent notable sites include the runways for FedEx at the Memphis International Airport, the FedEx Forum which is the largest public building construction project in Memphis history, I-40-240 exchange and the Wal-mart in Oxford, Mississippi. The runways presented a unique challenge for all underground piping work such as, water, storm drains and sanitary sewers due to the extreme load handling requirements. Subsequently, other unique challenges were presented in the sanitary sewer and storm drainage for the FedExForum. Not only did we have to overcome the insufficient soil conditions but also the extreme confined spaces in which the work was to be done. In each instance, not only did Scott Contractors rise above these challenges, we also beat the time restraints required for completion. Be assured whatever the challenge, Scott Contractors will prevail in a time efficient manner.

Management

Scott Contractors Chairman David Acuff has worked in the contracting business all his life with extensive knowledge in business, crane & rigging, and general construction. Ron Hall serves as President and Safety Director with over twenty years experience in overseeing the day to day operations, project management, and estimating. Jason Acuff serves as Vice President with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Furthermore, he has attained over ten years of field experience, project management and estimating. Jack McDivitt, with over thirty-five years of experience plays a key role with construction specific knowledge of unique situations on highly complex projects as well as estimating. Austin Acuff has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with two years of field experience and estimating. Last, but definitely not least, is Tammy Archer who has overseen the position of office manager for over twenty years. With Scott Contractors highly skilled staff, there is no project or special situation that can not be overcome.
